• Phoenix Systems at EUW

The company as a partner of NXP was presenting its solutions in Smarter World Tour truck.

Last week Phoenix Systems was presenting its solutions at the largest in Europe fair for Utilities - European Utility Week, which this year took place in Barcelona.

Phoenix Systems as a partner of NXP corporation was a guest in their exhibition space - Smarter World Tour truck, presenting real-time operating system Phoenix-RTOS implemented in proprietary measuring devices (smart meter and Data Concentrator Unit with balancing meter functionality) which are the basis for Smart Grid. The company demonstrated as in the previous years, author implementation of PLC PRIME protocol used by the smart devices to communicate by high voltage power lines, offered under the brand Phoenix-PRIME.

  • PRIME expands it’s presence on the Asian market with Phoenix-PRIME

The company has signed an agreement with Saiman, the largest meter manufacturer in Kazakhstan.

Saiman, the largest meter manufacturer in Kazakhstan, will produce next generation software defined smart meters using Phoenix-RTOS operating system. The inherent part of Phoenix-RTOS operating system is Phoenix-PRIME - fully software defined implementation of PRIME protocol. The new meter architecture based on software and general purpose hardware gives the freedom in implementing sophisticated requirements and applications for optimising energy consumption, integrating the local renevable sources and energy storage.
  • DCU production has started

Mass production of DCU with balancing meter functionality based on Phoenix-RTOS has already started.

Mass production of DCU with balancing meter functionality designed by Atende Software has already started. The development of the product lasted for the past year and ended with a great success. The device passed all the test and is ready for the mass deployment in Energa-Operator (DSO) electricity distribution.

Data Concentrator communicates using PRIME protocol in CENELEC A band but other protocols e.g. G3-PLC can be supported after changing only small piece of the firmware. The main functionalities of Data Concentrator are advanced energy measurements and acquisition of data from smart meters in SmartGrid networks.

This smart product is based on our real-time operating system Phoenix-RTOS devoted for IoT and software defined solutions.
